CHARITY WALK
SATURDAY 4 JUNE 2016

As you are probably aware, it was proposed at our AGM that it would be a great idea to make one walk a ‘Charity Walk’ every year; this was subsequently discussed and agreed by the Committee that the walk on Saturday 4 June would be the first ever Northampton Ramblers Charity Ramble.

It was unanimously decided to make the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance the first beneficiary of this, our inaugural Annual Charity Walk. We hope that we will not have to call on them but as walkers we never know if or when we will need their assistance.  They rely purely on donations to keep them in service, so please let’s have a great turnout on the day.

They can make the difference between life and death.

On the day, cash or cheques (made payable to Northampton Ramblers) will be accepted by any Committee Member present. If you cannot make the walk please give your donation to a Committee Member beforehand or why not log on to the Just Giving website and make your donation from the comfort of your armchair? Just click on the link below or copy and paste into your web browser.

We have set a target of £500 but it would be fantastic to exceed our expectations!

Please encourage your friends and family to support us - let’s make the day a huge success and raise as much money as possible to keep the Air Ambulance in the sky.

Further details will be available on the walk programme and in the Newsletter.

Walking is officially Britain's favourite recreational pursuit and the most popular form of exercise....come with us and find out!

We are now in  our clubs 52nd year!

We are a small friendly group that walk locally at weekends, alternating Saturday then Sunday, with a weekday walk once a month and evening walks during the summer months. The vast majority of our walks are 5 to 10 miles in distance, circular in format and walked at a relaxed pace, with time to look at the views and have a  chat at the same time....
We hope you can join us soon (see the `walk programme` page) or please complete the `contact us` page for more information...thank you!
