At the AGM in October, two jobs on the Committee will become vacant due to the retirement of the current incumbents.

After many, many years dedicated service, Pam Tyler has decided not to stand for re-election as Secretary.  The Committee and members old and new would like to thank Pam for helping to found this great club of ours and for her wonderful support over the years.  The job description is as follows:

a) Prepare committee meeting agenda (based on input received from committee members) and take the minutes at Committee meetings and the AGM each year. Ensure that any action points within the minutes are resolved.

b) Prior to the AGM, e-mail/post the AGM paperwork to members.

c) Pass on relevant items and information to Committee Members as appropriate.

d) Ensure that all forms/documents created by the Committee include the Club logo to give uniformity and provide Club identity and that they are updated annually to ensure current to our needs. When amended, arrange distribution to the relevant people and forward to the Webmaster for storage on the Cloud.

e) Hold hard copies of all documents stored on the Cloud.

f) Deal with any correspondence sent to the Club by outside people or organisations.

g) Prepare a report for Committee meetings and for the AGM.

Newsletter Editor

After 4 years as Newsletter Editor, Jim Elder has decided it is time to hand over the editorial hat to someone new.  We are therefore looking for someone with desktop publishing skills to take over this role.  The Newsletter is produced three times a year and the Editor will:

a) Encourage members and walk leaders to submit articles, including information and photographs of club walks and other events.

b) Edit the articles, depending on available space and check for spelling and grammar.

c) Set out articles in each newsletter edition for best effect and relativity and submit the completed newsletter to the Programme Secretary, to a given deadline, for printing and onward distribution to members.

If YOU would be willing help with the above, we would love to hear from you.  Please contact Teresa Yeend, Chairman, in the first instance for an informal chat. 01604 842455/07719 704421
