 Jim would appreciate some feedback from members on the content and layout of the club newsletter. REMEMBER - THIS IS YOUR NEWSLETTER! Please send Jim any comments or suggestions for future editions. 
 

 

MEMBERSHIP FEES...IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

Question:  

How much does it cost to join Northampton Ramblers? 

Answer:  

The annual membership charge is £5 per annum.  
 

Question:  

When is the membership fee due to be paid? 

Answer: 

The fees, according to our constitution, are to be paid at the AGM (held in October each year) but we give members until the end of October. The reason the card date goes up to 31st December, is we send the renewed membership cards out with your December newsletter (unless paid at the AGM or a self- addressed envelope is provided at the time of payment), so members wouldn't get their new card until sometime in December and that might be too late, if they need a `valid dated` card to obtain a discount at Blacks etc during the Christmas period (i.e buying Christmas presents). 

The reason we don't send the membership card out immediately the £5 is received, is to save on postage costs (the clubs second highest expenditure each year) ...... and a cost we are trying very hard to reduce, thus the reason for asking for member's e-mail addresses and in doing so, we will be able to maintain the current membership fee....at just £5. 

CHANGES TO YOUR INFORMATION / REQUIREMENTS 

Members, DON'T FORGET, if your personal details (address, e-mail address or telephone number) CHANGE or if you currently receive the programme and newsletter by post and would prefer to receive them in glorious colour by e-mail, please send your new details / e-mail address to:

OUR WALK LEADER ORGANISERS NEED YOUR HELP 

The club four `Walk leader Organisers` Teresa Yeend (Sunday walks) Allan Mackay (Saturday walks), Pam Weller (Evening Walks) and Alan Page ( Strollers Walks) need your help to ensure our programme of walks is fully covered. So, when any one of them approach you, please do think about leading a walk on the next programme.
