Morning Walk Meet at 10 am at Little Houghton (centre of the village by the Church), Postcode NN7 1BD (Post Office), GR 803 596, OS Maps Explorer 207/Landranger 152.  A walk from Little Houghton via the Washlands, Great Houghton and Brafield on the Green.  Great views across the Nene Valley, delightful villages, fairly flat, one slight uphill and several stiles in the first half of the walk, crosses the Bedford Road in two places but otherwise mostly on footpaths.  Maybe some livestock in fields so no dogs please.

Short Day Walk Meet at 10.00 am at the Queen Eleanor Cross in Geddington, Postcode NN14 1AD, GR 894 830, OS Explorer Map 224 North Sheet.  A circular walk to Stanion and Brigstock returning through Geddington Chase.  Woodland, open farmland (could/will be muddy) and green byway.  Some stiles.  Dogs on leads only due to possibility of livestock in fields.  Sunday lunch is available at The Star, Bridge Street, Geddington.  Please make own arrangements - booking is advisable at least one to two weeks prior to the walk (01536 745990).

Morning Walk Meet at 10.00 am at Hanging Houghton, Postcode NN6 9ET, GR  756 737, OS Explorer Map 223.  There is some limited parking in a layby just after the turn to Hanging Houghton on the A508, otherwise park considerately in the village.  The walk will start at the top of the village near the A508 and go across the fields to the site of the medieval village of Faxton.

1st (longer) Morning Walk with John and Mary – meet at 11.15 am at the White Hart, Hackleton, Postcode NN7 2AD, GR 807 549, OS Explorer Map 207. A gentle walk going over footpaths and bridleways with some road walking.

Second (shorter) Morning Walk with John and Ann – meet at 11.45 am at the White Hart.  A shorter walk over footpaths and Bridleways.

This year we are trying something different - we have a choice of two walks, aimed to finish at around the same time to enable us to enjoy our Christmas feast.  We can all have a lie in and we will not have to put muddy boots on again as in previous years!  The meal is scheduled for around 2.15 pm and we have the use of the room for as long as we wish.  Games, quizzes, singing – who knows?

Morning Walk: Meet at 10 am at the Green Area opposite the Red Lion Pub, Yardley Hastings, Postcode NN7 1ER, OS Landranger Map 152.  A farmland and farm tracks walk with some stiles, road and footpath walking. Not suitable for dogs.  Please park considerately in the village.

Short Day Walk Meet at 10 am at The Greyhound pub, Haversham, MK19 7DT, GR 828 429, OS Explorer Map 207.  A walk through open fields and woodland to the village of Little Linford where there will be a stop for a light lunch (soup) at the Black Horse pub.  Return to Haversham past the ruins of St Peter’s Church with views of Linford Lakes.  Lunch numbers taken on the day unless otherwise notified. Could be muddy.
