A few stiles, very little road walking, some short inclines but mainly flat. The pub does not have a car park but there is room in the village to park. Lunch available at the pub after the walk.

The Walk will start at Blackheath Station and will include Greenwich Park and Riverside, Thames Path, Isle of Dogs, Docklands (Canary Wharf) and Limehouse. Bring your own lunch if preferred. Stops will be made for liquid refreshment and toilets en-route.

Cotswold Day Walk: Depart at 8 am by coach for Broadway, Worcestershire. The walk will start with an energetic climb up to Broadway tower (pausing a few times for a breather); from the tower it is possible to see 16 counties and you can also watch the red deer graze as they have been since 1798. The walk continues through ancient woodlands and open land with good views, passing some lavender fields and walking downhill into the lovely village of Snowshill for a 1 hour lunch stop. After our break we go back up the valley through another lovely village, Buckland, and back to Broadway, where hopefully you will have a little time to browse before boarding the coach. On the way home we stop for a pre-arranged hot meal and a drink, returning to Northampton around 7.30pm. All places are taken – please contact John if you would like to go on the waiting list.

Morning Walk Meet at 10 am in Chipping Warden, Postcode OX17 1LZ, GR 498 488, OS Explorer map 206. A flat walk with several stiles across mainly animal pasture. There should be wonderful views towards the west which will be enjoyed by HS2 travellers when built. We start across the land that is a disused airfield and will become one of the HS2 depots. The path may be muddy in places depending on the weather. Lunch available at The Griffin, Chipping Warden or the Cross Tree at Byfield – to be decided nearer the time.

Distant views and varied scenery. Bring your own lunch to eat ‘al fresco’. There will be a break at the Green Man Pub, Brook End for drinks and facilities. Tea rooms in Woburn at the end of the walk.

This walk will take us via Loddington and Orton to Rushton where we will have a lunch stop of about 45 minutes. Rushton is an interesting old market town where you could either eat a packed lunch or use the shops, cafes, pubs, or fish and chip shops before returning to a meeting point. The return route passes Thorpe Malsor and two picturesque reservoirs.
