Mid-Week Morning Walk. Meet at 10.00 am at the Greyhound pub, Towcester Road, Milton Malsor, Postcode NN7 3AP, GR 733 558, OS Explorer Map 207. A circular walk along tracks and across fields to Collingtree and back. A few stiles. Food and drink available in the pub afterwards but please only use the car park if staying. Otherwise, please park considerately in the village.

Evening Walk: Meet at 7 pm opposite Boost Trampolines, Fairground Way, Riverside Business Park, Postcode NN3 9HU. A walk in the wash lands, partly on the Nene Way, deviating to Little Houghton, back to Nene Way at Billing Aquadrome. Watery views and birds. Harvester pub for drinks at the end. Park on road unless using the pub afterwards.

Full Day Walk: Meet at 10.30 am at Woburn Village Car Park (free all day), Park Street, Woburn, Postcode MK17 9PG, GR 953 334, OS Explorer Map 192. A walk on the Wild Side! A superb walk through Woburn Safari Park and the Abbey and out into the local countryside, passing the delightful villages of Ridgmont and Brook End. A couple of optional stiles/cattle grids. Distant views and varied scenery. Bring your own lunch to eat ‘al fresco’. There will be a break at the Green Man Pub, Brook End for drinks and facilities. Tea rooms in Woburn at the end of the walk.

Evening Walk: meet at 7 pm opposite the Britannia Pub on the access road to the White Water Centre, Bedford Road, Northampton, Postcode NN4 7AA, GR 777 598, OS Explorer Map 207. The walk will take us along the River Nene and the Hardingstone Dyke, skirting Brackmills, going under the dual carriageway and on to Delapre Abbey then towards Northampton town centre and the new University of Northampton development, returning to the White Water Centre along the River Nene. Refreshments available at the Britannia after the walk.

Evening Walk: Meet at 7 pm at The Drovers Return Café, Hunsbury Hill Road, West Hunsbury, Postcode NN4 9UW. A walk via East Hunsbury Park and Grangewood Park, then West Hunsbury Parks, Grand Union Canal, Hunsbury Meadows, back to start.

Morning Walk Meet at 10 am at The Red Lion, 52 Main Road, Crick, Postcode NN6 7TX, GR 590 724. Easy walking from Crick to Yelvertoft and back using bridleway over fields and Grand Union Canal towpath with gates and bridges to negotiate. Taking in Crack’s Hill – an old Iron Age hill fort – Celtic settlement and 14th century church where Cromwell’s soldiers sharpened their weapons. Lunch available at the Red Lion after the walk. The Red Lion car park is at the rear of the pub and is reached by driving under the pub archway off the A428.

A circular walk along good paths and grassy tracks around Brackmills Woods. Park in the pub car park if staying for a drink after the walk otherwise with consideration in the village.

Short Day Walk Meet at 10 am at the Three Cranes P.H. Great Cransley, Postcode NN14 1PY, G.R. 831768. This walk will take us via Loddington and Orton to Rushton where we will have a lunch stop of about 45 minutes. Rushton is an interesting old market town where you could either eat a packed lunch or use the shops, cafes, pubs, or fish and chip shops before returning to a meeting point. The return route passes Thorpe Malsor and two picturesque reservoirs.

Fine views over Oxfordshire and the Cherwell Valley. A few stiles. Bring a packed lunch to eat at Farthinghoe. Drinks and toilets in the pub but own food not allowed.

A good stroll to Chapel Brampton and back via Brampton Valley Way, one stile. Park in pub car park if staying for refreshments or in the station car park. Lunch available after the walk.

Morning Walk Meet at 10 am at the War Memorial at Olney Market Square, Postcode MK46 4BA, GR 889 513, OS Map 207. A leisurely walk via Petso, Hollington Wood and Emberton Park. There’s plenty of parking in Olney – a long stay car park off East Street near the football ground but please note there is a time limit in force on the Market Square!
