Morning Strollers Walk but all welcome Meet at 10.30 am at Delapre Abbey Carpark, Postcode NN4 8AW. The outbound half of the walk is mainly along the north bank of the River Nene, including Midsummer Meadow to the White Water Centre. The return is via Delapre Lake. All easy walking with no stiles. There may be a short stretch of muddy path in bad weather!

A walk through the village, then across fields and through woodland towards Eydon with good views but it may be muddy in places! Several stiles and livestock in the fields so not suitable for dogs. Please park at the pub if you wish to eat, otherwise with consideration in the village. Lunch arranged on the day.

Morning Walk Meet at 10.00 am at the Spread Eagle, Forest Road, Piddington, Postcode NN7 2DA, GR 804 544. A circular walk from Piddington into Salcey Forest – Eakley Lane – Little Horton Wood, returning to Piddington. Relatively easy level walking but with some stiles; horses in 2 fields therefore not suitable for dogs. Due to a recent footpath diversion, there is a stretch of rough walking – shorts are not advised!

Morning Walk - Club’s 54th Anniversary Meet at 10.30 am at The Greyhound, Milton Malsor, Postcode NN7 3AP. Walking west towards the Grand Union Canal, then north taking in East Hunsbury parks and Collingtree. Some stiles, bridges and tunnels. Dogs on leads due to possibility of livestock in fields. Lunch is available at 2 pm after the walk at The Greyhound BUT MUST BE PRE-BOOKED AND PRE-ORDERED. Please let John know by Friday 20 October if you wish to dine. Morning Walk Meet at 10 am at Little Houghton (centre of the village by the Church), Postcode NN7 1BD (Post Office), GR 803 596, OS Maps Explorer 207/Landranger 152. A walk from Little Houghton via the Washlands, Great Houghton and Brafield on the Green. Great views across the Nene Valley, delightful villages, fairly flat, one slight uphill and several stiles in the first half of the walk, crosses the Bedford Road in two places but otherwise mostly on footpaths. Maybe some livestock in fields so no dogs please.

A circular walk to Stanion and Brigstock returning through Geddington Chase. Woodland, open farmland (could/will be muddy) and green byway. Some stiles. Dogs on leads only due to possibility of livestock in fields. Sunday lunch is available at The Star, Bridge Street, Geddington. There is some limited parking in a layby just after the turn to Hanging Houghton on the A508, otherwise park considerately in the village. The walk will start at the top of the village near the A508 and go across the fields to the site of the medieval village of Faxton.

Second (shorter) Morning Walk with John and Ann – meet at 11.45 am at the White Hart. A shorter walk over footpaths and Bridleways.
This year we are trying something different - we have a choice of two walks, aimed to finish at around the same time to enable us to enjoy our Christmas feast. We can all have a lie in and we will not have to put muddy boots on again as in previous years! The meal is scheduled for around 2.15 pm and we have the use of the room for as long as we wish. Games, quizzes, singing – who knows?

A walk through open fields and woodland to the village of Little Linford where there will be a stop for a light lunch (soup) at the Black Horse pub. Return to Haversham past the ruins of St Peter’s Church with views of Linford Lakes. Lunch numbers taken on the day unless otherwise notified. Could be muddy.
