The Friendly Walkers

Welcome to the Northampton Ramblers’ Home page

We are a vibrant friendly group, established in 1963, who enjoy a diverse walking programme every week in our lovely countryside with good company. We always walk at a relaxed pace and moderate distances with time to appreciate the scenery.

You are more than welcome to come along for 2-3 walks and try us before becoming a member

  • Christmas Ramble and Meal 12th December 2020.
We have a full complement of 30 and are now operating a `wait list', but of course if the `rule of 6` has not finished by Christmas then nobody will be attending, so keeping fingers crossed that it has by then
  • Rule of 6
  • We have confirmation that the ‘Rule of 6’ does not apply to organised walks, providing Covid 19 Secure guidelines are followed. The programme will, therefore, continue as published unless, of course, the guidelines change. Please keep checking the website for updates, book in with the walk leader and socially distance.

Morning Walk Meet at 10 am the White Horse Pub, Old, Postcode NN6 9QX. A lovely walk with a very short stretch of road walking at the beginning, passing through Scaldwell and skirting the lost village of Faxton. A few stiles and moderate inclines. A stretch of ploughed fields at the end which could be muddy if it has rained. Park with consideration in the village.

Please phone to book your place.
