Welcome to the Northampton Ramblers’ Home page

We are a vibrant friendly group, established in 1963, who enjoy a diverse walking programme every week in our lovely countryside with good company. We always walk at a relaxed pace and moderate distances with time to appreciate the scenery.

You are more than welcome to come along for 2-3 walks and try us before becoming a member

  • Also our Yorkshire Trip
It has now become inevitable that our trip has now to be cancelled. However, there's always a silver lining. Following government advice, under the present circumstances, a full refund of your bookings will be given, even if you booked a non flex booking. You all will have received an e mail from the hotel, where you will find advice on how to do this online. I've just cancelled mine and received an immediate confirmation.
However, depending upon how things go with the fight against Covid19, it may be possible to rearrange this trip. For example, if it becomes possible to do it in September, that would be an excellent time to go, with the moorland heather at its magnificent best. Also, as we discovered, it's much cheaper to book well in advance! However any time this year may still not be possible so if the worst comes to the worst, maybe we can do it in 2021.

Our next walk

In view of the current situation with Coronavirus and the Government's advice regarding non essential travel and social distancing, the Committee has decided to suspend all walks with immediate effect.  This suspension will initially remain in place until the end of May.
