Morning Walk: Meet at 10 am at the layby on the junction of Penfold Lane and the Wellingborough Road (A4500) at Great Billing. A walk via Goldings and Ecton. Park in the layby but note that there is a 3 hour limit.

Morning Walk: Meet at 10.30 am at St Botolph’s Church, St Botolph's Road, Barton Seagrave, Postcode NN15 6SR, GR 887 770. This walk takes in part of Wicksteed Park and the arboretum, continuing along the River Ise and country paths with picturesque views from the beautiful village of Warkton.

A walk along farm tracks with fine views of Kirby Hall en route. Some stiles. A nice Sunday roast is available at the pub afterwards but parking is limited. Only park in the pub car park if staying to eat, otherwise with consideration in the village.

Postcode NN12 7SY, GR 744499, OS Map 207. A circular walk from Stoke Bruerne taking in the villages of Alderton and Grafton Regis, returning via the Grand Union Canal. Reasonably flat walking with several stiles and a small amount of road walking.

A walk between Abthorpe and Wappenham which is relatively flat. Livestock in fields and several stiles. It will probably be quite muddy, especially at the start. Lunch available after the walk at the New Inn. Confirm to Annie and Mike by 13 January if you intend to eat as Sundays are busy and a table needs to be reserved

An easy winter walk over fields and along reservoir pathways with good views and a toilet/refreshment break at Brixworth Country Park. Please park on the road  next to the playing field.


FEBRUARY

Morning Walk Meet at 10 am at the Old Red Lion pub, Litchborough, Postcode NN12 8JF. GR 633544, OS Explorer Map 207. Fairly level walk on grassy paths and pasture land. Little chance of mud but several stiles. Using part of the Knightley Way and passing through Farthingstone. Park in the pub car park if taking lunch, otherwise on the main road. Loos available before the start. Lunch available. Numbers and menu selection taken on the day.

Morning Walk Meet at 10 am at the bottom of Weston Mill Lane, Northampton (parking in Weston Mill Lane or nearby Riverside Car Park). OS Explorer Maps 207/223, Landranger Map 152, GR 792608. A walk to Little Houghton and Great Houghton, then Brackmills via disused railway line, following the bank of the Washlands reservoir with a chance to see a great variety of bird life at this time of year – one of the most important sites for wetland birds in Europe. A few stiles.

An easy walk with no stiles on mostly surfaced paths in the Ouse Valley area of Wolverton and New Bradwell, including a visit to the Secret Garden. Use the pub car park if stopping for lunch (please make your own arrangements) or use the public car park in Watermill Lane just a few yards along the Stratford Road. The walk will start from the entrance to the pub on Stratford Road.

Inclines mostly downhill with a short upward stretch towards the end. Park in the pub car park if staying for refreshments (no arrangements have been made for a group lunch) or with consideration in the village.

Otherwise, park considerately near the church or in the layby near the bridge.

A walk from the village of Little Harrowden to Great Harrowden, then on footpaths and some road walking, to Hardwick (refreshment stop). Return on footpaths to Little Harrowden. Some stiles and livestock in fields. Table booked for lunch, orders will be taken on the day.
