Morning Walk Meet at 10 am at The Wharf Inn, Bugbrooke, Postcode NN7 3QB. A walk that follows the canal to Nether Heyford, returning via Bugbrooke Mill. No stiles but some ‘kissing’ gates. A really lovely circular walk via Brampton Valley Way, Harlestone Firs and the Bramptons. No stiles. Park in the pub car park if staying for refreshments or in the car park opposite if not.

A walk almost entirely on paths, potentially muddy at a couple of points but generally over grass or defined tracks. Ironstone villages, line of disused railway, two short and gentle climbs, the county boundary, fine views, a Roses battlefield and a Saxon/Danish Battlefield, racehorse gallops, a 14th Century church and an old drovers inn! Livestock in fields and some stiles. Lunch being negotiated – further details available nearer the date.

A little road walking on a quiet road.
