Evening Walk: Meet at 1900 hrs at The Royal Oak Pub, Whiston Road, Cogenhoe, Postcode 1NJ. A lovely ramble via The Firs and Jerusalem Steps, an old Iron stone quarrying area that is now woodland. Then along a lane to Whiston via the ford. We will then join the Nene Way at Whiston Locks, and follow it along the river back to Cogenhoe.

Morning Walk: Meet at 10 am at "Poddington By Cherry Lane", aka Poddington Garden Centre, High Street, Poddington, NN29 7HS. The walk will take in Sharnbrook Tunnel and Wymington Nature Reserve including 4 styles. Including tracks and field margins and crossing of a field with the potential for mud. The walk is mainly flat however please note, there are 2 short, but steep hills and declines, 1 of which walkers can choose to avoid. There are also steps crossing over the railway line.

The management have kindly given permission for us to park in the furthest part of the car park away from the entrance. There will be an opportunity after the walk to take refreshment in the cafe, and enjoy the garden centre itself.

Morning Walk: Meet at 10 am at the Althorpe Coaching Inn, Main Street, Great Brington, postcode NN7 4JA, GR SP 66656490, OS Explorer map 223, what.3.words embraced.amplified.blesses. A circular field walk visiting Little Brington, Nobottle and returning to Great Brington. Walk contains a couple of inclines, 4 stiles but is mainly flat. Please park in the village with consideration and make your own arrangements for lunch.

Evening Walk: Meet at 1900 hrs at Hollowell Sailing Club, postcode NN6 8RN. Drive through the main gates “shared with the big house Keeper’s Lodge”, follow the tarmac road for a few hundred yards, past high wall around house, through an open double gate to the car park. The walk will follow the path around the reservoir, mainly on flat ground with grassy clumps and gentle slopes. Walk may contain plenty of birds. Toilets available at clubhouse where seating is available.

Morning Walk: Meet at 10 am at The Swan at Lamport (on the A508) postcode NN6 9EZ, GR SP 755744, OS Explorer map 223, what3words irrigate.splat.stopwatch. Walking from the

carpark of The Swan down to Brampton Valley Way. From there we will make our way along Brampton Valley Way and then up into Hanging Houghton. Crossing the A508 towards Scaldwell, over fields, back via the rear of Lamport Hall, Lamport and then back to The Swan. There are 7 stiles and the walk from Brampton Valley Way to Hanging Houghton although on tarmac is a long uphill climb. The Swan will allow parking if staying for lunch, please park with consideration if you are not parking at The Swan. It is advisable to book if staying for lunch.

A lovely summer scenic walk from Grendon village via Easton Maudit with good views across to Castle Ashby House. A couple of stiles and a very small amount of road walking. Please park with consideration in the village.

Evening Walk: Meet at 1900 hrs at The Fox & Hounds, Harlestone Road, Lower Harlestone, postcode NN7 4EW, CR SP 707645, OS Explorer map 223. Note, this walk is different to Jans walk “detailed” May 14th! A pleasant walk for a summers evening taking in the countryside at the “back of the pub” walking towards Church Brampton; then walking adjacent to the railway track and the river until we join the back of Harlestone Heath (firs) for an amble through the woods and back to the pub. A couple of inclines but mainly flat, no stiles. Parking in the Fox & Hounds car park.

Walking the Nene way almost to Weedon, then back towards Newnham and on to Little Everdon taking in lovely Northamptonshire views. Walk contains a few stiles. Roast lunch is available at The Plough Inn, Everdon; it is expensive however if you wish to join Annie & Mike, please call the pub directly to book on 01327 361588 at least 3 weeks before the date. Mention the walking group and the name Bosley then they will endeavor to sit us all together. Please park with consideration for others in the village.

Morning Walk: Meet at 10 am, in the free car park which is set at the back of the Rural Shopping Yard, Castle Ashby, Postcode NN7 1LE. A fantastic circular walk from Castle Ashby, walking through the delightful hamlet of Chadstone, across open fields and woodland to Cogenhoe. Following a beautiful stretch of the River Nene to Whiston Church Combe Hill, with fantastic views. There are a few hills, especially a steep path to Whiston Church and several stiles. Refreshments available after the walk at the Falcon, Castle Ashby. Public toilets: Rural Shopping Yard

Morning Walk: Meet at 10 am at The Saracen’s Head, Main Street, Little Brington, postcode NN7 4HS, GR SP 663637, OS Explorer map 223. Starting from the Saracens Head, Little Brington, walking to Great Brington and then down towards Nobottle Wood. The walk is mainly flat with some short gentle inclines - two stiles. Please let me know by the 3rd August if you would like lunch afterwards. (Sunday lunch is £16 to £20)

Morning Walk: Meet at 10 am Braunston Village Hall, The Green, Braunston, postcode NN11 7HW, GR SP 544663, OS Landranger map 152. A walk mainly through farmland with good views partly along the Jurassic Way. There is a short walk along the canal passing the pump house build 1897. We will also pass the medieval Wolfhampcote church. Please make your own arrangements for lunch. The Admiral Nelson is on the canal or alternatively The Old Plough is in the village.
